February news & happenings

 February was a busy month. We found out we were pregnant with our 8th baby ( actually in January). They should change the percentage of effectiveness on those birth control shots. We were busy with the Blue & Gold banquet, we had a pirate theme. Troy decided since everyone else was volunteering to help he would volunteer me. We found out in a Parent teacher conference that Lathan hadn't been turning in or doing any math work for 2 months & had done very little language arts work, so we spent 2 weeks getting him caught back up. I got called to the Primary Presidency in our ward as the 2nd counselor,  I got put over the Scouts. Afton had his first report due & Lathan had a science project due. And through all of this I have been the sickest I have ever been during a pregnancy. I thought this was due to the hormones in the shot & my own pregnant hormones, but at the end of February I woke up with really bad stomach cramps that got worse & worse until I started throwing up & I thought I was going to die! It was horrible! So I woke up Troy & we loaded all the kids into the van & went to the hospital in the middle of the night. We found out my gallbladder is full of sludge & I have a few polyps. So in a few months they will do another sonogram & see how it is doing. Until then I am on a low fat diet. It sucks & I am hating it.But it is getting better the longer I am on it I am finding more & more that I can eat.

this is the pirate ship I made for our Blue & Gold Banquet. Troy & I cut it out & painted it & then I made the sails.  we had pigs in a blanket , french fries, fruit & pirate punch  for dinner. And cute x marks the spot cookies & pirate ship cake. Everything turned out great! Especially since it was only 2 days after my attack.

Rylynn's first haircut

 Rylynn got her first haircut from Auntie Jackie on Wednesday!

 She got her bangs cut & the rest of her hair trimmed.

 She was really good & sat still. She is just like Linki, he is always one of the best kids while getting his haircut. Addy & Afton are our wigglers.

     This was the best smile I could get from her. she just did not want to smile or act like she was enjoying it

I can't believe she is almost 2! It is sooo crazy. Some of her favorite pass times right now are playing with her babies, dancing, playing with her brothers & sisters & cousins. ( especially Kyrie) She loves fruitsnacks & anything sweet. She loves to try & help with whatever she can. She is great at helping me empty the dishwasher! She is so loving to everyone & has even decided she could kiss us again! which we love & love to show off that she is kissing us instead of the other person. She is such a blessing!

   We had Christmas Eve @ Grandpa & Grandma Boot's. We had a yummy dinner, a Nativity & presents! I am always super excited for this fun tradition.

Jenny was awesome & organized it all. Christina, Luis & Brian all had parts also & had us laughing the whole time.

    We are so blessed to have been able to spend Christmas & the week after with family. We love you all & had a great time. We have many happy new memories. We are happy to have everything back to normal again though. A fun but busy Christmas vacation.   



December crafts & snow

So I don't remember if this was November or December but Addy & Lath both graduated from Radd Kids & got to show off their moves at the graduation. Addy did peppers to get away.

  Lathan almost got away, he was super quick. But he got caught & fought bravely to get away.

I was crafting with Angie all month! We made these super cute & easy ribbon flowers for the girls. It was lots of fun! These are the ones I made & Angie made a bunch & so did Jackie. 

Me & Angie made these cute blocks with me Cricut. I have had it for 2 or 3 years now & only used it for book reports for the kids. So we got some vinyl & mod podge to make these. We even cut the wood ourselves. 

 We made Chocolate candy for the kids teachers & our neighbors. The kids loved this activity. Everyone got to help. Rylynn made a bit of a mess.

We had these empty hot chocolate containers because my kids are addicted, they love hot chocolate. So we just covered them in scrapbook paper & filled them with candy for the kids' teachers.  

I made  these tiles for everyone family, neighbors, VT sisters & friends.  

I also made these notebooks to hang on all of our families fridges. It was a fun & not to difficult project. We hope everyone likes them. 

over break we got a ton of snow. The kids were all excited to go play 

 Kyrie hated it because it was to high for her to walk .  

Everyone else loved it though. 

This was Rylynn & Kyries favorite thing to do. 

The kids made a bunch of snowballs & pushed them all together packed more snow on & made an icecave/ igloo. They were all so proud of it. Then it rained all night & it caved in. They were very disappointed they didn't get to play in it for more than one afternoon. 

 I made 2 of these for the little girls to wear in our Nativity. Angie made 2 donkey ears for Link & Cash. Everyone got to have a part! These were super easy to make they just got fur everywhere.

For Thanksgiving we made all these pies ! We made extra's & brought them around to random houses & called it pieing. The kids really got into it. They loved picking the house they thought needed it most. We may try to do this again, it really got us into the spirit of giving & sharing. I have really been wanting to teach my kids more about service so I am trying to come up with more projects for us like this one.
